The Evolution of my Set Up

Posted on 9. January 202322. May 2023 By Sally

We all started slow. I used to sit in my room with my old crusty HP Laptop that would heat up like lava while I played The Sims. I had to start the game and could easily do chores for an hour until it was finally done with booting up. Back in the day I would play games on my Nintendo 64 or my Play Station until I discovered PC gaming.
I don’t know when exactly I decided that a Laptop wasn’t enough and I got my first PC. I had an awfully small room but managed to cramp a desk in there. When I moved into my first Apartment I finally had space for a decent desk and Set Up.

Here are some pictures I could find of my old Set Ups. For the life of me I can’t name any specs because it’s been a looong time.

This is the first ever picture of my “Set Up” in my first Apartment. Look at it! It makes me sad. That PC (which you can’t see because it’s tucked away under the desk) blew up one day in summer while I was playing Battlefield. It scared the s#t out of me. And don’t get me started on the chair. It was a random office chair from IKEA on which I had to replace the wheels every few month or so..

I got my second monitor! I believe they were AOC monitors and I discovered the magic of RGB (RGB equals skill, we all know that). That’s pretty much when I fell in love with Razer products. I’ve read horrible comments online of how pricy everything was and how fast it would break but to this day I never had any problems with my Razer gear. The only thing that broke was my headset since one of my cats decided to chew on the cord, I don’t blame Razer for this though . Before this Razer Kraken I had a Corsair headset which lasted for 2 month until it fell apart.

I rearranged my monitors quite often but this Set Up lasted for a long time. I got the Razer Nommo Speakers, a key pad for my MMO addiction and a larger mousepad (More RGB!)

Then I moved from my first Apartment to my current one and I had a tad more desk space. I don’t know what I thought when I arranged my monitors like this. I was really proud but it was so overloaded and nasty. I hate to look at it.

And this brings me to my current Set Up. I ditched one monitor, kept the Ultra Wide and mounted the other monitor on top. I love this layout. In addition I painted the wall in a very dark purple to get a gloomy Set Up and threw RGB everywhere I could. It’s so cozy. I love it. I will post a detailed view on my Set Up in the future and stuff I want to change. But overall I am very happy with this
